FAQ
Q:
|
How do I interpret my proficiency level qualification record?
|
A:
|
Cadets have to satisfy all training requirements in order to qualify for their current proficiency levels.
Cadets are given final proficiency level qualification records at the end of each training year around May / June.
Interim qualification records may also be given if there is such a need.
The qualification record shows the results of each topic, or Performance Objective (PO).
It also shows whether the cadets have qualified for their respective levels; and additional comments (if applicable).

Description |
Eligible for promotion |
Qualified |
The cadet has qualified for the current level.
Cadets must qualify all POs and have attendance over 60% to qualify.
The new level can now be used to satisfy promotion and summer course eligibility.
|
Yes |
Not Qualified |
The cadet has not qualified for the current level due to lack of participation.
The cadet will need to attempt to qualify for the same training level again in the next training year. Any summer course applications / course offers contingent on the cadet qualifying for the training level may be removed.
Cadets with attendance under 60% will not qualify for their training levels.

No |
Waiver |
The cadet has completed the majority of the training but did not qualify for all POs. The cadet cannot qualify for the current level as a result.
Cadet with a training waiver will attend classes in the next level next training year; but is required to participate in the missed PO. It is the cadet's responsibility to work out a plan with his or her Level Officer in order to qualify for the past level.
For example, a cadet with a level 3 waiver due to a waived PC 390 (FTX) will need to attend the first FTX as a level 3 cadet and attend the second FTX as a level 4 cadet in order to qualify for level 4 by the end of the training year.
A cadet can only be on one waiver at a time. For the above example, should the cadet not qualify the waived level 3 at the end of the level 4 training year, he or she will have to stay in level 3 waiver / level 4 for the next training year regardless of other performance.
A cadet with a training waiver has not qualified for the level and therefore treated as "Not Qualified" (see above) in terms of promotion and summer course eligibility.
